Every single one of them is pretty impressive. More to come I suspect.

US congressional committee reps visiting EDI this month re pre-clearance. If awarded, I'm led to believe several new routes could go ahead with existing carriers and a new US carrier.

It may also lead to significant realignment of the current London centric view of the legacy carriers.

Edinburgh would be considered a solid air connection that earns miles/points vs the current trains between London airports. Likewise from the regions.

Can't imagine TUI wouldn't like the idea too for its Orlando mix.

If EDI is selected for pre-clearance it will be interesting. I believe the new US carrier is almost certain to be JetBlue. Virgin have been retreating back to LHR in recent times. They are still a small airline in terms of aircraft numbers. I don't see them expanding at EDI. Would BA be tempted to have a punt at something? I'm also not so sure. They have shown absolutely no enthusiasm for operating any long haul away from LHR. TUI also come and go as they please. They have dumped long haul from EDI in 2024.
The new routes that Dewar hopes will follow with pre-clearance? Denver, Dallas and Seattle would be my guess.
